We are happy to share new updates about the VELLO SUB with you! Over the past few months we have been busy finalizing the details of the SUB and its accessories, as well as clarifying the production schedule with our suppliers.

VELLO SUB Accessories

 We are developing a full range of accessories that will be available at the same time as your bike. The accessories will soon be available in our online store! Among other things, we are working on the SUB's railing with a quick release system and a foldable footboard, both important accessories. Below you can see some renderings of the SUB's foldable footboards.

We are also developing a rain cover with side pockets that can be easily installed without tools.

Other accessories include the front rack for heavy loads and the suspension seatpost.

FINETUNING of the SUB

The center stand of a cargo bike is one of the most important components of the bike. Among other things, it ensures easy parking and sufficient stability when loading. Our new double-legged design of the stand is in the final stages of testing and can soon be manufactured together with the SUB frame.

 Other items we've focused on in recent months include the new dropouts for optimal rear wheel adjustment and an adapter system for mounting a cell phone cradle, including an optional adapter for wireless cell phone charging.  

We also finalized the design for our side guard on the rear wheels.

The BOSCH system

Currently, we are eagerly awaiting the brand new motor and batteries from BOSCH. The BOSCH Cargo Line engine with Smart System was recently introduced for the first time in the world. We at VELLO are proud to be one of the first manufacturers to use the system on our bikes! All other components are also ordered and we are waiting for them to arrive at our Vienna factory.

Revised schedule for the production of the SUB 

We should be able to start assembling the first chromoly version of the SUB in mid-September 2023. As with any new product development, the process may take longer, as expected: it is important to us to focus on quality here as well! The titanium SUBs are expected to take 2-3 months more time.
